Tanjung Aru Beach

Tanjung aru is one of the most popular spots to relax while enjoying good food.A special attraction is the spectacular sunset between 6.00pm and 6.15pm."Tanjung Aru" beach is a long stretch of white sand lined with palm and casuarina trees.Only 6 km from Kota Kinabalu town centre or 10km from the Airport ,it is very popular among locals as a weekend getaway with families and friends.Visitors may just relax under the shady trees, activities like a water-skiing or scuba diving can be arranged through the nearest resort, the Shangri-la Tanjung Aru.Foods stalls nearby beach serve a wide variety of seafood as well as the usual fried rice and noodles until midnight.




Pulau Manukan

This 51 acres boomerang shaped is the second largest of the Tunku Abd.Rahman Park, Manukan has good stretches beaches on the southern coastline. The best stretch is on the eastern tip of the island.The is a trail system around the island. Ideal for snorkeling, diving and swimming. The island has a very clear waters and is an excellent venue for the water-skiing and sea sports. The beach however is somewhat rocky and should exercise some caution. There are corals beds on the island and the western reefs and multicolored coral fishes abound here.


Mount Kinabalu

Mount Kinabalu is situated in the east Malaysia state of Sabah on the island of Borneo. It is the place where you could see breathtaking sunrise from above the clouds, 13,435 feets ( 4,095 meters ) above sea level. Mount Kinabalu is a prominent mountain in southeast Asia. It is located in Kinabalu National Park in the east Malaysian state of Sabah. Which is on the island of Borneo in the tropics. It is the Tallest Mountain in the Malay Archipelago.

The Mountain and its surroundings are among the most important biological sites in the world, with over 600 species of ferns, 326 species of bird, 100 mammalian species identified. Among them are the gigantic rafflesia plants and the Orangutan. Mount Kinabalu has been accorded UNESCO world heritage status.

The main peak of the mountain (Low's peak) can be climbed easily by a person with a good physical condition, and requires no maountaineering equipment. Other peaks along the massif, however, require rock climbing skills.



Tanjung Simpang Mengayau

Tanjung Simpang Mengayau a.k.a the tip of Borneo is located 40km to the north west of Kudat Town. The journey will pass through mostly coconut plantations and remote villages such as Kg. Sin San, Kg. Tajau, Kg. Pinangsoo, Kg. Loro and Kg. Tiga Papan before finally arriving at the Tg.Simpang Mengayau.
