Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu as the capital of the state of Sabah. Before a year of 1968 Kota Kinabalu was called the town of "Jesselton". In year of 2000 Kota Kinabalu officially took on "City" status and grew up into a modern city till now. Kota Kinabalu is also the gateway to other major towns and districts and home to around 300,000 - 500,000 people.

Gaya Street(Sunday Market)

Gaya street located in Kota Kinabalu central business district has been the centre of business for over a hundred years. Originally named "Bond Street". Every Sunday morning the length of gaya street is closed off to traffic to make way for the fair. This is the best place to experience the cross-section of the local population when entire families enjoy a Sunday outing. In gaya street shop for anything under shady trees and over sized umbrellas, likes fruits and flowers, antiques and souvenirs, local foods, arts and crafts, even pets and herbs.

Local Handicraft

Kota kinabalu handicraft center or popularly as known as Pasar Filipina among the locals and tourists is the one of must see place in Kota kinabalu City.The situated along Tun Fuad Stephen Street across the Sinsuran Complex.There are many handicrafts that are sold here.Besides the souvenirs and handicrafts such as brooches , keychains , batiks sarong and also pearl can be found at this place.
